To quote from the many tributes to Lisa's late mother, Lorene:

This is the essence of yoga.

Your breast health?

The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and growing older. Breast cancer knows no boundary, be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That's one in eight within your company, school and organization! The key to survival is early detection. Three simple steps for early detection are regular mammograms, clinical exams and breast self-exams. And, remember, breast cancer affects more than just the patient; friends and family need support too.

What does Susan G. Komen do?

For more than 25 years, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease, and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors. Over the next 25 years, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer if we don't find a cure. Komen will not stop until they discover and deliver the cures. That's their promise.

We Will Find the Cure!

Lisa Ware, RYT 200 Registered Yoga Teacher Certified Reiki Therapist, Level II

Lisa Ware began Yoga 4 Love in 2008 after a solo personal practice for well over a decade. She was greatly inspired by her mother, Lorene's battle with breast cancer and her indomitable spirit and strong will to live. Lorene Farrell was an inspiration to so many people and gave many, many hours (and many, many miles!) to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She was instrumental in creating a team to Race for The Cure, as American Airlines’ Race Chairperson for many years.

Through Lisa's personal practice and a need for yoga studios in her community, she decided that she wanted to bring yoga to the Southern area of Dallas county and Ellis county, TX. She quickly began volunteering her yoga classes to local karate studios and retirement centers and gained her accreditation for required certification. She immediately began teaching, and realized teaching yoga, for her, is a higher calling.

She is greatly motivated by helping people gain health and enrich a mind / body / spirit connection through yoga. Inspiring others in their own personal yoga practice is a great reward.

Lisa is continuing her ongoing education daily to enrich her yogic knowledge and desires to share this information to her students and the community. Lisa also trained in Reiki Healing Therapy with a Reiki Master. She loves teaching and loves people!
